RAMP works to remove a single block and generally takes only 25 or 30 minutes. AMP is a deeper, more powerful process that removes barriers, which is a series of related blocks. AMP can take up to 4 hours to complete and must be carried to completion to ensure the desired work in done. Thousands of people have experienced absolutely amazing transformations through AMP and have removed blocks that have persisted for years through RAMP.
Where the RAMP process removes single blocks, with AMP it is not uncommon to work on more than one program in the same session. When several programs are tied together, generating behaviors or symptoms inter-dependently, the subconscious mind will generally address all of them in one session. AMP sessions can take up to 4 hours especially in the early stages when there are a lot of programs that need to be addressed and updated or eliminated. The subconscious mind needs to work through the programs it intends to address to their completion and time for that to happen is always provided with both the AMP and RAMP.
How RAMP Emerged
Rapidly Accelerated Mind Patterning (RAMP) was developed by Dr. Sherry Buffington, a doctor of psychology in 1990. Dr Buffington describes herself as “a brief therapist and the briefer, the better.” She developed RAMP and its sister process Accelerated Mind Patterning (AMP)after spending years studying traditional methods, which she considers way too slow and other rapid change methods, such as Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), Silva Mind Method, Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other less known modalities.
While each method had clear benefits, each also had limitations that Dr. Buffington wanted to eliminate. She discovered the piece she needed to make rapid change processes more effective while studying hypnotherapy. The first process to be developed was AMP. The faster RAMP version came after ten years of helping clients dramatically change their lives and outcomes using AMP.
